Classes Offered and Opportunities
Classes.
We offer a Fall session that goes from September-May/June with a recital at the end (optional). We also offer a 6-week summer session starting in June-July. Call us now to get prices and info on each session
Acro.
Starting at age 3 (potty trained).
Acro class teaches tumbling skills such as cartwheels, front and back walkovers, back handsprings, tucks, aerials, etc. We also work on flexibility.
Tap.
Starting at age 4.
Tap class helps develop rhythm and coordination while learning to make music with your feet.
Jazz.
Starting at age 6.
Jazz class combines upbeat dance styles with different influences all the way from ballet to hip hop.
Hip Hop.
Starting at age 6.
Creating movements with our bodies freely. From learning “Old School“ Hip Hop Moves to learning beats and rhythms.
Baton.
Starting at age 6.
Baton class teaches twirling fundamentals and hand-eye coordination.
Ballet.
Starting at age 6.
Ballet class is the technical foundation for all forms of dance, teaching students strength, poise, flexibility, and the technique to excel in any style of dance.
Stretching and Conditioning.
Starting at age 6.
Stretch and Conditioning class helps dancers improve flexibility through stretching and build strength through conditioning.

Leaps and Turns
Starting at age 6.
Jumps and turns class focuses on improving jumps and turns as well as learning new variations and styles.

Dress Code.
Acro, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Baton, Stretching, and Leaps:
You must wear shorts or leggings, with a leotard or sports bra and a shirt. Hair must be up and out of your face.
Ballet: You must wear a leotard and shorts. Tights are optional
Shoes: All dancers must wear the appropriate shoes for the style they are taking.
Opportunities
Parades
We normally do two parades a year. Selected classes twirl, march, and tumble in the parade. Each class learns a dance to do along the parade route. These parades are not mandatory.
The Massillon McKinley Parade
Children 8 and up are allowed to participate in this parade.
The Holiday Parade
All children are allowed to participate in this parade.
We have babies that ride the truck, marchers, twirlers, and tumblers.
Competition Team.
Our competition team travels across Ohio competing in multiple competitions a year for those students who wish to expand their dance experience and challenge themselves. Chris T's Dance Emporium competition teams have won numerous awards throughout the years. Aside from competing these girls learn teamwork and self-discipline.
