Dress Code

For all classes, hair is to be pulled up and out of the face.

We instill a dress code for safety and the best learning experience. Dancers must wear comfortable appropriate form-fitting clothes to display proper body alignment and allow for easy movement. No jeans are allowed.

  • Acrobats: A combination of a leotard or sports bra and a tight-fitting shirt, and shorts. No shoes required.
  • Tap:  A combination of a leotard or sports bra and a shirt, shorts or leggings. Black tap shoes, for older students, split sole.
  • Jazz: A combination of a leotard or sports bra and a shirt, shorts or leggings. Black jazz shoes.
  • Ballet: A leotard, shorts or a skirt. We must always be able to see the knees and ankles. Pink ballet shoes, preferably leather and split sole. Ballet shoes should be tight against the toe with no space between toe and shoe.
  • Baton: A combination of a sports bra and a shirt, shorts or leggings. Jazz shoes or white keds.
  • Hip Hop: A combination of a sports bra and a shirt, shorts, leggings, or sweatpants. Ultimate Hip Hop Shoes from Pastry.
  • Leaps and Turns: A combination of a leotard or sports bra with a tight-fitting shirt, and shorts. Pirouette shoes are preferred but jazz shoes, ballet shoes, or foot undiez will also work.
  • Stretch and Conditioning: Same as Turns and Leaps. Clean Tennis Shoes.
